The Visionaries Behind Adiniru Academy
The success of Adiniru Academy is largely attributed to the efforts of Ms. Manju and Mr. Ajikumar, a dynamic couple with engineering backgrounds. Ms. Manju began her career at Tata Indicom and later took up a teaching role at Government College Palakkad. Unsatisfied with the conventional 9-to-5 job, she envisioned a more impactful way to contribute to education.
Mr. Ajikumar, who was working as an Assistant Engineer at Kerala State Electricity Board, supported Ms. Manju throughout this journey. He played a crucial role in establishing their venture. Recognizing the potential, Mr. Ajikumar decided to leave his stable job and join Ms. Manju in their mission.
They launched Gurukulam in 2002. Despite a slow start with no students for the first two months, persistence paid off when a student from Calicut University enrolled, marking the beginning of their successful journey in BTech exam preparation.
Growth and Expansion: From a Modest Start to a Leading Institution
As demand for their quality BTech coaching grew, they moved to a larger office near Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT). The 2,500-square-foot facility soon became crowded, necessitating another move. They purchased land near Ambattukavu, a strategic location now served by the metro, and built their first dedicated facility there.
It was at this point that Mr. Ajikumar made the pivotal decision to resign from his position at Kerala State Electricity Board to focus fully on the Academy. This commitment allowed them to concentrate on expanding and improving their educational services.

Adiniru Academy’s reputation continued to grow, leading to the construction of two additional facilities—one in Aluva and another on MC Road near Keezhillam. Today, Adiniru Academy serves approximately 800 to 1,000 students daily during peak times, providing top-notch engineering tuition.

Not only do they support students from various international universities, but they also cater to a diverse student body that includes international students alongside local Malayali students.
